While there is no way\u00a0to ensure zero risk of infection\u00a0while in public, it is important to understand potential risks and different types of\u00a0prevention measures you can take to protect yourself and to help reduce the\u00a0spread of COVID-19.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In general,\u00a0the more closely you interact with others and the longer that\u00a0interaction, the higher the risk of COVID-19 spread. So, think about:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\u2022 How many people will you interact with?<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 Interacting\u00a0with more people raises your risk.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 Being in a group with people who aren&#8217;t social distancing or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/prevent-getting-sick\/diy-cloth-face-coverings.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wearing\u00a0cloth face coverings\u00a0<\/a>increases your risk.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 Engaging with new people (e.g., those who don&#8217;t live with you) also\u00a0raises your risk.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 Some people have the virus and don&#8217;t have any symptoms, and it is not\u00a0yet known how often people without symptoms can transmit the virus\u00a0to others.<\/div>\n<div>\u2022 Can\u00a0you keep 6 feet of space between you and others?
