Elected officials need to hear from you to make sure that the City maintains the\u00a0services that you rely on, provides robust funding for programs that lift up the most\u00a0vulnerable Chicagoans, and supports the small businesses and institutions that define our\u00a0neighborhoods.<\/p>\n<p>I invite you to join me in watching the\u00a0Budget Week Virtual Town Hall\u00a0series. This week-long series will be streamed online nightly via\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ChicagoMayorsOffice\/\">Facebook Live<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Budget Week Virtual Town Halls<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Monday, August 31 &#8211; Friday, September 4<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Streaming nightly from 6:00 pm to 7:00pm<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Watch:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ChicagoMayorsOffice\/\">Facebook.com\/chicagomayorsoffice<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Budget Week Town Halls are an opportunity to learn about the critical functions of\u00a0each City department, receive updates on issues that impact the City&#8217;s finances, and\u00a0most importantly, provide feedback on how the City should allocate funding in the 2021\u00a0budget.<\/p>\n<p>In order to make sure that your voice is heard during the budgeting process, I invite you to\u00a0take these three action steps:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Watch the &#8220;State of the Budget&#8221; Town Hall<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/ChicagoMayorsOffice\/\">Visit\u00a0facebook.com\/chicagomayorsoffice<\/a>\u00a0on Monday, August 31 at 6:00 pm for an\u00a0overview of the City&#8217;s current finances.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tune in to at least one additional Budget Week Topic<\/strong><br \/>\nYou can pick topic you are already interested in, or a topic you would like to learn\u00a0more about! You may also submit a question for each topic by filling out\u00a0this <a href=\"https:\/\/webapps1.chicago.gov\/eforms\/budgetweek\">online\u00a0form<\/a>.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicago.gov\/city\/en\/sites\/budget-engagement\/home\/budget-survey.html\">Click here for a full schedule of topics<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Take the Budget Week Survey<\/strong><br \/>\nSubmit feedback on your priorities for the 2021 budget by taking the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicago.gov\/city\/en\/sites\/budget-engagement\/home\/budget-survey.html\">Budget Week\u00a0Survey<\/a>.\u00a0The survey will be open from August 31 to September 13.<br \/>\nThese important discussions help me advocate for the best use of limited financial\u00a0resources in order to promote safety, prosperity, and equity for all Chicagoans.
