During the webinar, Sheriff Dart announced that he opened a satellite office in River\u00a0North and his Deputies are taking an active role in policing the Downtown\u00a0neighborhoods.<\/strong> Sheriff Deputies have radio interoperability with the Chicago Police\u00a0Department (CPD) and will assist with responding to 9-1-1 calls.<\/p>\n Additionally, the Sheriff\u2019s Office discussed their carjacking taskforce, City-wide and\u00a042nd Ward specific crime statistics, provided tips to help avoid becoming a carjacking\u00a0victim, and outlined Sheriff Dart\u2019s efforts to get major automakers to set-up a 24\/7\u00a0hotline which would help law enforcement track stolen vehicles quickly.\u00a0CLICK HERE<\/span><\/a> to find out more about this program and how you can register your car. \u00a0 Filling out and submitting the consent form will allow law enforcement to\u00a0access data location information for the described vehicle from the relevant\u00a0car company if the car has been unlawfully taken and such information is\u00a0available.<\/strong> Swift access to such information can help law enforcement\u00a0recover the vehicle.<\/p>\n
